Future Matters isn’t simply our corporate social responsibility strategy, it’s a way of thinking that defines every part of our culture, and which shapes our three sustainability pillars – from how we work with our people and the ways in which we create our products , to the steps we can take to mitigate our impact on the planet . “Our greatest responsibility is to honour the past, make it meaningful for today’s customers and colleagues, and leave Fortnum’s better than we found it.” Marty Wikstrom, Chair of Fortnum & Mason OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
GIVING BACK, THE FORTNUM’S WAY
TO THE BISCUITORIUM! This year, we opened the Biscuitorium, a joyful new home for Fortnum’s biscuits on the Mezzanine at our Piccadilly store. Around 95% of our biscuits are baked in the UK using organic British wheat flour, grown through regenerative farming practices in the Cotswolds. The flour is milled using 100% renewable energy, while our butter and sugar are sourced from suppliers committed to reducing their environmental impact.
A HIVE OF SWEET ACTIVITY To celebrate 100 years of Disney Winnie the Pooh, Fortnum’s partnered with artist Paul Badham to create a collection of oversized golden bees from recycled metal, which we proudly displayed on the famous façade of our Piccadilly store. To commemorate the occasion, more than 50 of the bees were auctioned, raising over £80,000 for the British Beekeepers Association.
In 2025/26, Fortnum’s colleagues volunteered more than 415 hours of their time, supporting food redistribution, youth mentoring and environmental projects. Through our partnership with London’s largest redistribution charity, Felix, we helped provide 11,000 meals. We also supported Centrepoint over Christmas and raised £1,000 through our PreLoved Cookbook Sale.
